ICAA Has Successful School Supply Drive

Thanks to the Dave Glover Show, 97.1 FM Talk, and Dierbergs,  it looks like we were able to get enough to help two local schools.  The school supply drive officially ends on the 25th of this month, so there is still time to drop off a donation at one of our bins, which includes UMSL, Once Upon a Toy, Animeggroll, and Lagoona Magoo.
The annual school supply drive is a part of our “Mind the Gap in Education” project, an initiaitve which encourages meaningful advocacy, education, inclusion and supports to our students, educators and schools. Throughout the year, we provide autism awareness card campaigns, educator appreciation awards, presentations, educational materials, supplies, workshops, IEP assistance, and consultations.  We serve pre-K to college level schools, students and educators.
Help us reach our goal!  Our 10k challenge for Mind the Gap in Education ends November 1st.   Throughout this time, we are asking everyone to donate  $10 or more to the ICAA Mind the Gap in Education campaign.  When we reach $10 k, which funds Mind the Gap throughout the year, we will give away one IPad and one Kindle.
“The annual school supply drive is one of the funnest parts of our projects throughout the year. It really brings all kinds of people together to focus on learning, and the needs of students in schools”, said ICAA President Emily Malabey.  “I hope we are able to give away the IPad and Kindle this year, because there are many schools on our list that we want to be able to support. Mind the Gap holds a special place in my heart because it is centered on education, where it all starts for everyone. Learning and learning to learn is the foundation of everything.”
