I am a retired special education teacher. I tried to garner support for this issue for years. Where I was teaching, we had very little resources. I felt that I was needed by my students or I would have walked away from the job after being told to keep quiet about the problem. I stayed teaching for twenty five years. During that time, I told every parent and every friend and neighbor I could about this discrimination. I just don’t understand it. I will support the legislation as it gains national attention. I will be vocal and volunteer wherever you need me. I also want to say how brave this young lady is for speaking out. I’m glad your organization is around.

i can’t believe malabey is still on this! my daughter was getting only half days at school and then we changed schools. just thought that since she was special ed, she had to leave before her friends.
